- Product Description - This design is based on the Ashura statue at Kofuku-ji Temple, which can be said to be the most popular Buddhist statue in Japan.
Asura is a god of war with three faces and six arms, and is also one of the eight guardian deities who protect Buddhism.
While most depictions of Ashura portray him with a fierce expression, the Ashura statue at Kofukuji Temple has a calm, almost childlike, and sorrowful expression.
It is said that this scene recreates the moment when everyone gathered around the Buddha and listened intently to his voice.
The eight Sanskrit characters in the background represent the eight divisions of the Buddhist pantheon, and the Sanskrit character on the back represents Ashura. This is a new design for Spring 2022, expressing his handsome and beautiful appearance with a cool monochrome color scheme.

| How to care for it | While regular washing is fine, we recommend washing with the printed side inside out and using a laundry net to help prolong the life of your product. Please refrain from using bleach, tumble dryers (rotary dryers), and dry cleaning. After washing, quickly reshape the garment and hang it to dry in the shade. Please avoid ironing directly over the printed area and strong friction. Due to the characteristics of cotton knit products, there may be an error of approximately 1cm in size depending on the storage conditions. The color and texture of the material as seen on the display may differ slightly from the actual product. |
