KIYORA KIKUCHI Co., Ltd.
The Story of the Birth of Carbonated Ice
KIYORA Kikutchi is a company that originally manufactured and sold hydrogen water.
You might be wondering why a company like that would make carbonated ice. Actually, the idea for carbonated ice came about by chance.
Our company is developing a variety of hydrogen products based on the idea of "providing hydrogen in all forms to suit each customer's lifestyle."
One such question we often receive is, "Is it okay to freeze hydrogen water?" One day, while trying to make hydrogen ice, I suddenly wondered, "Can I freeze carbonated water?"
We have spent 10 years struggling to incorporate hydrogen gas into water and stabilize it. Gas-liquid mixing is our specialty. To be honest, I thought it would be easy.
First, I tried freezing carbonated water in a plastic bottle. The result was a failure. Even when I cut open the frozen bottle, only the carbonation escaped with a fizz, and I couldn't make the uniform carbonated ice I had imagined. No matter how much I searched online, I understand why it says that making carbonated ice is impossible without special equipment!!
It was here that we realized that carbonated ice didn't exist anywhere in the world.
"In this modern era of technological advancement, there's no such thing as carbonated ice?! If we can make it, how many people will be surprised and delighted?" We love having fun, and if no one has ever done it before, we especially want to try it!!
My fighting spirit was ignited. I made up my mind to create carbonated ice that "no one has ever seen, no one has ever eaten."
Three years later, after repeated failures, we finally succeeded in freezing carbon dioxide gas inside ice.
"The world's first 'carbonated ice' has been created."
With the goal of making it as delicious as possible, we continued to research the flavor and aroma, and the result was "Shuwa Pop," a carbonated ice candy.
Please try our new sensation ice cream, packed with our passion and surprises.
